George Bernard Shaw 

George Bernard Shaw is considered to be the second greatest English dramatist and writer after Shakespeare. George Bernard Shaw also won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925. He was against the war and was also a critic of the policies of the British government.  George Bernard Shaw made a prophecy in his lifetime that Muslims can be very proud of, but this prophecy also demands the greatest consideration from Muslims. 

George Barnardshaw said about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that I have studied his life and in my opinion he was not the Antichrist but Muhammad ﷺ was the savior of humanity. George Bernardshaw predicted that in the next hundred years if any religion could rule Britain, and indeed all of Europe, it could only be Islam. Bernard Shaw was initially a critic of Islam. In 1935, he met Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui, a well-known religious scholar of India, in Mombasa, Kenya.

During the discussion on the Crusades in this meeting, Bernard Shaw said, "Isn't it true that Islam spread by the force of the sword?"

Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui said that there is a clear command in the Holy Quran that there is no coercion in religion. These are the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. Which were told and taught to all the prophets from Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) to Hazrat Jesus (A.S), but when some followers started distorting these teachings for their own personal interests, then through the last Prophet (SAW), it was said in Surah Shura of the Holy Qur'an: "Allah has made for you We have ordained the same path of religion which We commanded Noah (a.s.) to follow, and which We sent revelation to you, O Prophet, and which Abraham (a.s.), Moses and Jesus (a.s.) commanded. 

George Bernard Shaw thanked Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui after reciting these passages from the Holy Quran and then returned to London. Bernard Shaw studied the life of the Prophet along with the Quran.

He had declared Prophet Muhammad ﷺ benefactor of humanity and Islam as the future of Europe without any hesitation. But his opinion about Muslims was not so good. He respected scholars like Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui but often found the role of Muslims to be contrary to Islamic teachings.

Despite the contradiction found in Islamic teachings and the role of most Muslims, why did George Bernard Shaw call Islam the future of Europe?

When George Bernard Shaw studied the life of the Prophet, he found the concept of the state of Medina very close to the concept of the welfare state that is the dream of every peace-loving writer and intellectual.

 What do I talk about others?

When I look at myself, I find myself very lucky to have been born in a Muslim family, but when I examine my character and actions, I see only weaknesses.

 My beloved Prophet said

Saying the word Haq in front of the oppressive Sultan is the best Jihad. This hadith sounds good to Muslims like me, but how many of us have the courage to speak the truth in front of Jabir Sultan?

Oppressive Sultan, far from it, we don't tell the truth in front of our boss, but we keep telling lies for small interests, while lies are strongly disliked in the Quran. 

Allah makes the ruler as pure as the people are. 

The people keep lying to each other and vice versa the rulers also keep lying to the people.

Judges in our courts refer to Quranic verses in their judgments, but the character is that often the judge's judgment is pre-judged before the case starts in the court. The Islam studied by George Bernard Shaw is based on peace, justice and democracy. But the Islam we are trying to impose on each other. In this we see a lot of petty dictators around us. I consider such powerful people as the punishment of Allah for me who quote Quranic verses in every speech. But their character seems far from the meaning of these verses.

Take the example of the Parliament of Pakistan.

It is called Majlis Shura because our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered all matters to be settled by consultation. Kalma Tayyaba is written on the forehead of this Parliament. 

What happens in this parliament, is it in accordance with Islam?

Everyone knows that which law is made in the interest of the country and the nation in this parliament and how is the law made for the interest of an individual or a group?

Everyone knows how the votes of the members of this parliament are bought for legislation or for the election of important positions, and who kidnaps and tortures those who do not sell their votes?

Ironically, the rulers who buy and sell the votes of the members of parliament to perpetuate their personal power, address the Sirat conferences on 12th of Rabi'ul Awwal every year and expect this from sinners like us. Let us declare him as a soldier of Islam and support his hypocritical politics. We all forget that we have to give our lives to Allah and then we have to be accounted for.

Will any non-Muslim accept Islam after seeing our character?

Absolutely not! Islam is spreading in Europe because there are no guards on knowledge and thought. 

Freedom of expression is not restricted as in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Indonesia and Malaysia. Where the task of establishing dictatorship in the name of democracy is taken from the parliament. Islam is spreading in Europe because the Prophet said in his last sermon

Beware! According to the religion of Islam, neither an Arab has any superiority over a foreigner nor a foreigner has any superiority over an Arab. And no white person is superior to a black person, nor is a black person superior to a white person. From the point of view of Islam, all people are equal and the only person who is pious is the best among them.

The basis of virtue is only piety.” Islam is spreading in Europe because the teachings of our beloved Prophet ﷺ love knowledge, teach equality and protect the rights of women even animals and plants.  Protection granted. The rights that Muslims have in Europe today.

Have we given those rights to non-Muslims?

Justice was equal for Muslims and non-Muslims in Madinah state. Allow me to say that Islam is advancing rapidly but born Muslims like us are left behind.  On the oppression that happened in Palestine, large processions were also taken out in Europe, while Ibn al-Hawq, the ruler of born Muslims, continued to work with round-the-clock speeches.

12 Rabi Al-Awwal is the birthday of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), the last of the Prophets. On this day, make speeches, organize large gatherings, but also think about the rights of the servants in following the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him).  The rights of the servants whose protection made George Bernard Shaw the guarantor of our Prophet ﷺ
