Is a new world war imminent?
Is a new world war imminent?
War was his life. He grew up in this war. Whatever he got in life, he got in war. Whatever he lost in life, he lost in battle. This war gave him death but then this death became a new life for him.
The martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah on September 27 has pushed the world towards a major war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement after killing Hassan Nasrallah that he has avenged the death of not only countless Israeli citizens but also many Americans and French citizens. According to Netanyahu, the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah is his great success, but the reality is that despite these successes, Israel has become more insecure than before.
In 1992, Israeli helicopters attacked Lebanon and martyred the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Abbas al-Mousavi, along with his wife and five-year-old son, so the then Israeli Prime Minister Isaac Shamir also thought that Israel was safe. This idea turned out to be wrong. When Hassan Nasrallah took over the leadership of Hezbollah in place of Abbas al-Mousavi, the resistance against Israel accelerated.
In 1997, Hassan Nasrallah's 18-year-old son, Muhammad Hadi Nasrallah, was martyred while resisting Israel in southern Lebanon. Mohammed Hadi's body was dismembered and Israel offered to return his pieces to Hezbollah. Hassan Nasrullah rejected this offer, after which his public support increased.
Since 1982, Israel has occupied a large area of South Lebanon and formed the South Lebanon Army with the help of Lebanese Christians. Hassan Nasrallah started the dialogue with Lebanese Christians.
They were stopped by the support of the South Lebanon Army and Israel and spread the resistance with the help of Iran. And then in 2000, Israel had to withdraw from southern Lebanon. This was a great success for Hasan Nasrullah.
In 2004, Hassan Nasrallah exchanged prisoners with Israel. In this exchange, Israel also returned to them the remains of Hadi, who was martyred in 1997. That was the year Israeli helicopters attacked Gaza and martyred Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin as he returned from the mosque after Fajr prayers.
Israeli Defense Minister Shal Mofaz termed Ahmed Yassin as Osama bin Laden of Palestine and said that we have made Israel safe by targeting a terrorist. Whenever Israel targeted a key leader of Hamas or Hezbollah, the Israeli leadership told its people that we had made them safe, but the facts on the ground tell otherwise.
Today, if Palestine and Lebanon are unsafe, Israel is also so unsafe that many Western airlines have suspended their flights to Israel. Israeli citizens are fleeing to Europe and America in large numbers. The Israeli army is suffering from a manpower shortage. Israel's real strength is its wealth and the support of Western countries. With this wealth and political power, Israel creates traitors in the ranks of its enemies. With the help of these traitors, Israel targets its enemies.
In 2008, Israel targeted Imad Fayez Mughniah, a close associate of Hassan Nasrallah, in Damascus, telling the whole world that one of its networks in the Syrian capital could do anything at any time. Imad Fayez Mughnia went to attend an event at the Iranian embassy in Damascus, his car was parked in the embassy parking lot. Israeli spies changed a tire of his car, the new tire was filled with explosives. Imad Faiz returned to Mughnia and started the car when it exploded.
In 2020, the head of Iran's Quds Force, General Qassem Soleimani, was targeted by an American drone in Baghdad. The attack was ordered by US President Donald Trump and the person who provided information to the US and Israel about the movement of General Qassem Soleimani was named Mahmoud Mousavi, who was executed in Iran.
On July 31, 2024, Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas, was targeted in Tehran. This incident made it known to the whole world that Israel has built a strong network inside the Iranian capital. Israel's espionage networks exist not only in Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon but also throughout the Middle East and Pakistan. Instead of directly targeting Muslim leaders in many Muslim countries, the Israeli network incites sectarian hatred in those countries and provides covert support to those who incite religious bigotry.
Hamas and Hezbollah were actually formed in response to Israel's aggressive policy. If Israel had not attacked Lebanon in 1982, Hezbollah would not have been established. Had the United Nations resolutions been implemented on Palestine, Hamas would not have been established, still under the umbrella of the United Nations, the Israeli state flouted international laws from Palestine to Lebanon.
So far, no Western country has declared Israel as a terrorist.
On the contrary, on the other hand, many Arab countries, including America and Europe, have declared Hezbollah as a terrorist.
Only China, Russia, North Korea, and Syria do not consider Hezbollah a terrorist.
Think for yourself that after what is happening in Gaza and Beirut, isn't the world becoming more unsafe than before?
In place of Hassan Nasrullah, Naeem Qasim has been made the new Secretary General of Hezbollah.
Few people realize that Hussan Nasrallah highlighted Naeem Qasim as the future leader of Hezbollah during his lifetime. Naeem Qasim's book "Hezbollah" has been translated into multiple languages, and a reading of the book indicates that Naeem Qasim favors adopting a tougher stance against Israel.
I read this book in Beirut in 2006. I found out that Hassan Nasrallah had limited the resistance to Israel to a red line so that Israel would not bomb Lebanon enough to destroy the entire infrastructure of Lebanon. Naeem Qasim has been a supporter of attacks against Israel, like the attack carried out by Hamas in October 2023.
In his book, Naeem Qasim also argues that the only solution to the enemy's strong army and air power is Fidai attacks. If Naeem Qasim puts Hezbollah on the same path that he pointed out in his book many years ago, the war in the Middle East will spread to other regions as well.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has planned to target Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Netanyahu has air power and US drones. Naeem Qasim has thousands of Fidai attackers. Alas, we are headed for a new war of airpower and guerrilla warfare in which ground forces will not be as important.
If the international community does not succeed in stopping this new war, the world will forget Hassan Nasrallah. If you don't believe, read the book of Hassan Nasrallah's successor, "Hezbollah".
